BMC Race Airfilter
 

My BMC race airfilter for the curvy has just arrived. It says FM205/10 Race on the box but only says BMC205/10 on th actual filter.

I had a look on the BMC site and it says there is "yellow line inside the filtering package making them easily recognisable."

I can't see the line on my filter have I been duped with a road filter?

How can I tell?

I got it from the USA via ebay it was £40 + £10 delivery but I got stung for £20 vat and handling (post office robbing fekkers) so saved myself about £20 from Demon Tweeks price.

They are made in Italy www.ebay.it

Gonna raise the tank by 25mm and remove the tank foam fit factory needles and jets then off to the dyno (its got a full Akropovic Titanium system on too).

where can i get 2 nice BMC cone filters from to go directly on my stage 3 carbs.. no longer have the airbox and cant find any pics of the FM205/10 RACE and the link for it on the BMC site just keeps comming up with an error.. using some naff UMC filters right now..

When you say Stage 3 carbs, what's been done to them?

right now am going though a number of dyno tests to get it perfect but at the min its @

factory Pro kit should have come with BMC filters but got the naff UMC ones

pilot 17.5 f/r
PAJ 1.5 /0.65
fule mix 3.5f/r
needle/pos 4
slider holes 2.25/1.4
float height 7mmf/r
spring stock
main jet 195f/190r ( depending on next run may be changed to 200fr/195r )
maj 1.5fr / 1.3r

Still some fine tuning to do.

Can u tell me more about the slider holes, where are they on the carbs? What do u do to them?

Main jet at 190 is massive, I'm looking at 150's for mine.

Mine goes to the dyno next week

I thought the cone filters were a bit of a no no coz the airbox produces a smooth airflow into the carbs.

AR racing do them but I dont know if this is the wide mouth version (Race RS) or just race version.
