Re: Optical Express
I have by optical express Birmingham.
Was alright... Done it because I need to pass an eye test with minimum requirements 'without' glasses. Probably not worth it otherwise unless you have really bad vision, mine wasn't bad in the first place. |
Re: Optical Express
I had a consulatation and was told that my eyes were not bad enough. Boots do it too, Optimax is where I get offers from, doing half price at the mo.

Re: Optical Express
I use monthly disposable contact lenses. Put them in on a Monday morning and forget about them. Four weeks later you take them out & put a new pair in, easy! Only bad thing is that you tend to forget you're short sighted, and it can be a bit depressing if you have to take them out and put the glasses back on...
A real alternative to eye surgery without the risks. P.S. Don't distract yourself with the idea that " I couldn't put a finger near my eye" etc. You can, and with time you'll wonder what all the fuss was about! |
Re: Optical Express
I wore contacts since I was 16 but due to work reasons finally bit the bullet last autumn and had surgery by Optimax. I was not disappointed by the results although if you do decide to go for it I'd advise you check out procedures which use the Wavefront technique which although it is more expensive it's tailored to your individual requirements. I understand that the less expensive options tend to use a one size fits all approach.
