K9 ignition switch on K5 - C42 code.
 

My mate has an SV650 S K5 and has to replace the ignition as some kindly soul tried to nick it. He now has the ignition, off a K9, which he's been told fits, but the wiring seems different, how does he match it up. The colours on his loom are from left to right as you look at it are red (thick), red (thick), orange (thick), orange/yellow, brown, the new igntion has black (thick), black/red (thick), brown, grey/black . Error code comes up at C42, - ignition switch/antitheft
Any ideas anyone? Thanks
