What to do in London..........
Drew is moving to London tomorrow for 10 weeks and will be staying in an apartment in the City, he has this for the full 10 weeks including weekends and has been told that it is fine for me to go down and stay there without any extra cost.
I'm going to go down to London more than he is going to come home, to give me the chance to see London (only been once) and it is the cheapest that we will ever have the chance to do this. We are thinking of doing the Natural History Museum and Science Museum............. the question is what else would you visit?! Many thanks Lily x |

Covent Garden is nice, St. James Park....Harrods perhaps....Tate Gallery if you're a bit arty...Camden Town is fun too.
Glad you've got the Natural History Museum up there, my favourite :-D Got to agree with Viney too, wandering about London is quite fun too, some amazing bits of architecture, not to mention the posh cars and stuff. Couldn't spend too long there though, cities get to me after a while! |

Re: What to do in London..........
Best thing to do in London is leave. It's a dump.
If you have to stay, the Transport Museum and Imperial War Museum are both good. Also the Eye. Piccadilly Circus is a dump but go down The Haymarket to the Sports Cafe if you want to have a few drinks and some nice munchables. Museum Of London is okay, I suppose, though stick with the recent history section lest you come out swearing it should be called the Museum Of Dull Bits Of Broken Old Pots. Elsewhere, Maida Vale and the surrounding canals are nice for a stroll, and the Camden Market is okay. There's also a decent market in Notting Hill Gate. If it's a nice day, Hyde Park is a good place to go and lie on the grass and enjoy the weather. Sadly, just about every other touristy place (Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square) are really crowded, unpleasantly touristy and best passed through at great speed. |

You could always give SUPERSTARDJ01 a hand with his luggage & tribe - that'll kill half an hour!
