GoPro HD 1080p Motorsport Waterproof Helmet Camera

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=220626088882

Bought a few months ago with the idea of using it on numerous track days but ended up having to cancel. Used once for 25 minutes. Anyone that knows about these GoPro HD's will know about the brilliant clarity and amazingly smooth video. The buyer will not be disappointed, this is as new with all attachments.

Comes with:
  • 1 Rechargable 1100 mAh Lithium-Ion Battery
  • 1 Waterproof Quick-Release Housing (180’/60 m)
  • 3 Flat, 3M™ Adhesive Mounts
  • 1 Curved, 3M™ Adhesive Mount
  • 2 Quick-Release Buckles
  • 1 Vertical Surface "J-Hook" Buckle
  • 1 Suction Cup Mount
  • 1 Three-Way Pivoting Side Arm Assembly
  • 1 USB Cable
  • 1 Component Video (HDTV) Cable
  • 1 Composite Video + Audio Out Cable

Grab a bargain instead of paying £290.

Make me an offer using the 'Best offer' button. Will let it go to an orger for £210 ;)

Cheers.

Is the suction cup mount fairly secure?

Do you have any pictures of the size of it and the bits that come with it?

I am very tempted but its mounting the camera and generally the size of the actual camera that worries me, as I would not want it on my helmet EVER and I would not want it falling off on track etc, or touching down whilst cranked over as I get the impression they are fairly bulky.

£210 is a fricking bargain.

Hi G, the camera has now been sold to toot.

The suction cup is very secure. I think someone told me that they were doing a test of it on Channel 5's The Gadget Show and they were hanging from it with all their bodyweight and it wouldn't budge. Some serious suction going on right there! If you get it on a clean flat surface then there's no chance you will be able to pull it off.

However, if helmet mounting I have been advised that the suction mount is not ideal as it causes quite a bit of vibration when recording. The 3M helmet mounts are meant to provide less shakey mounting so if I was to use the cam again I'd use those.
