Are Bikes Selling?
 

Hi All, Not really sure where the best place for this thread is so I'll stick it here and please feel free to move it you lovely Mods.

I have 3 bikes to sell, as having 5 bikes crammed into a garage is getting crazy and we're just about to start a car turbo conversion project, so garage space is at a premium. But I am wondering what the selling market for bikes is like at the moment.

Are people buying privately? Have you sold a bike recently? Did it take you long. Any top tips that you can pass on?

You see I like buying bikes but then I find it difficult to say goodbye and sell them. The problem that I have is that all the bikes are different and appeal to different bikers;

125 Yammha YBR
SV650 K3
Honda Fireblade RRX

So I guess what I am really asking is where is the best place to list these bikes for sale?

the pistonheads classifieds alway seems to shift a decent number of vehicles.

Everything will sell for the right price... some of the prices of bikes that I have seen for sale recently have honestly been laughable.

V good point.

Whats a non-laughable price for an 03 Pointy, Silver, Beowulf, MOT'd, No Tax, flush LED's, heated grips, tail tidy, 9,000 miles and a slight scrape on the bikini RHS?

£1500 without tax is a big push, no test rides possible either... :)

Yes, so I see. Thanks for the advice. Ebay it is and I'll stop trying to convince myself that no one will buy them.

remember loads of pics from all angles and take at least one pic showing keys and documents, big up all the positives and make small mention of the negatives, that is make sure the text for the negs isn't longer and more descriptive than the positives
