Red Rubber Grease - where from?
I need to overhaul my calipers....again. Went to Halfrauds to get some Red Rubber Grease and tried a motor factors and no joy. Was thinking about trying Ann Summers.....
Was about to buy on ebay when I spotted this..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brake-Caliper-...item29ff2c2014 Is it the same stuff? I've got a tube in the garage, looks the same as red rubber grease and is ok on suspension forks which use elastomer's. |
Re: Red Rubber Grease
Looks like the right stuff to me

Re: Red Rubber Grease
Well if you look at the weldtite web site it says nothing about it being suitable for use on hydraulic systems. just a link to apply for a data sheet. Without sight of the suppliers data sheet I would say don't touch with a barge pole.

Re: Red Rubber Grease
That's expensive. Never had a problem getting the large tub of Red Rubber grease...then again, haven't bought any in donkey years :p
Anyhoos, if you do fancy some to do your brakes, until you source a tub(about £5.99 usually) PM me your addy and I'd stick some in the post for you tomorow Cheers Ben |
