Help with those small recorded music player things

Right. It's been pointed out to me that those lovely useful little mobile music player things I knew and loved no longer exist. I'd just got to the point of thinking a Walkman thing would do to play the silver discs on because most of my C90's were wearing out, but no. The very young man (shouldn't have been allowed out of short trousers if you ask me!) in a large shop said I need an 'empeethreeplayer' for goodness sake! He showed me an eyepodshuffler but I couldn't see how I'd fit the disc even into it! He then said something baffling about downloading tracks digitally, which is akin to chicken speak to me.

So help me, clever Org, please. I want to walk around with music playing in my ears. I reluctantly accept that I can no longer have the exquisite choice between C30,C60 and C90 but what choice do I have? How do I do it? Where do I start? What devices do I need?

I'm trusting the youngsters and the nerds of this fine place will be able to give sound advice. Then I might even come back to you so you can tell me how to plug new little device into the car, as the lovely young salesman seemed so excited that my new car had that facility :)

Yeah yeah lol at the lot of you :smt110:smt110:smt110

I'd still like some real and basic advice though.

Which system to buy? How to actually get music onto it etc?

I don't know where to start!:cyclopsani::cyclopsani::cyclopsani:
