Bri goes naked - eeeeek!!
Decided on going for another bike - the VFR has just gone and a large brown envelope awaits tomorrow's trip out...
Street Triple 'v' GSR 600 'v' Z750?? Triple; handles really well, and pulls really well but heard whispers of unreliability. GSR 600; hadn't given it a 2nd thought till I had the pleasure on Wednesday. What an engine! GSXR600k4 engine. Light, and chuckable. Z750; a hooligan bike and mega fun but not sure of it with the standard shocker. Gets a little bouncy when pushed, especially with 16.5st of cuddliness on it. choices, choices. Any thought? |
Re: Bri goes naked - eeeeek!!
Should of kept the VFR
If you can try the CB1000 or hornet 6 or both |
Re: Bri goes naked - eeeeek!!
Lots of talk in the press at time of Launch of ropey fueling on the GSR, IIRC stuttering / poor pick up from low RPM. If I were looking at one I'd want a test ride to see if it were true or not.
Edit - ignore me, looks like you've had a test ride already ? |
Re: Bri goes naked - eeeeek!!
Out of the 3, only the triple appeals

Hi Bri,
I'm a bit surprised you're considering an unfaired bike. They are usually a bit more tiring to ride, unless you only plan to do localish trips. Street Triple for me but it's very revvy I found, and it's a bit small. |

Re: Bri goes naked - eeeeek!!
CB1000 was dull when I rode it - the Z1000 was much more interesting. Speed Triple is probably still king of the hill though, as its physically bigger. Been a while since I rode the GSR, but it was nice and smooth... felt like they'd been digging in the same parts bin as the SV though, so you might need to budget for some upgrades.

Have you considered the K1300R?

The VFR is a real mile muncher but I need to be more upright. Either that or go to the gym - hahahahaha. And the right hip and leg just couldn't cope with the weight (of the bike). |
