Removable rack for an SV?
I would like to volunteer as a bloodrunner, but I would need a decent size rack.
Can you guys recommend something that I would be able to easily put on and off ? (don't want a fixed one cause I think their very ugly) |

I think they require a normal rack cause they give runners those big delivery boxes ;-/

Re: Removable rack for an SV?
Thanks for all your posts... I have got a better idea about what I need now - the Blood boxes that are transported by Bloodrunners have a strap on strip underneath so I just need a flat surface and something to affix the box to...
http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/accessori...=onroad&search this suggestion is great but would be so much better if instead of those bolts to fix the topbox to there would be railings. Any suggestions or ideas? |
Re: Removable rack for an SV?
Yup. Find an old pillion seat. Pull apart the material etc so you have the base plate. Get someone to measure the box and create a plate to hold it. Bolt it all together.
Job done. |

Or use a scratched up seat cowl with a big plate or tubular rack bolted onto that. B.T.W. You are aware that most services require you to be IAM or RoSPA in order to ride for them? I'm sure that you've looked into it but wanted to warn you before spending money.... All the best, Garry |

Re: Removable rack for an SV?
That's good stuff. Most groups tend to restrict themselves to riders holding advanced qualifications. I can't get into the main SERV site right now, but SERV Essex don't appear to have this restriction. Quedos and myself are currently working to set up a service in Scotland, but the NHS and Blood services all work totally different up here.

Got to hate when admin stuff gets into the way of good initiatives! :-/
Good luck and hope you guys manage to work around it. Regarding the rack... will speak to a few mechanics maybe one of them will be able to mod the pillon seat. |
