sv650s riser clip on conversion
Hi,
new to forum and very impressed with the content. I am an old git thats had bikes for years. just got rid of my fazer and bought a 2007 reg K6 SV650s cos it was a bargain. really like it for my daily commute. was thinking higher bars might be an idea at some point though. has anyone in the forum had experience of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-SV650-0...item23053b00b6 any opinions welcome. would you really not have to get longer cables and brakelines? |
Re: sv650s riser clip on conversion
There are various ways to skin this particular cat, many have fitted some sort of conversion to raise the bars on the SVS, like helibars or fitting the naked top yoke and bars.
I fitted some FJ1200 bars to my SK1-S, they needed slight modification (i.e. not a direct fit due to needing clearance round the top yoke bosses), but the bottom line is that the riding position is much better. However you do it, I'm sure you'll find it makes the bike much nicer to ride. |

They are much better than standard. I had them on my curvy, and didn't need to change the cables.
I did have to change the brakelines, as they weren't the OEM ones, but braided lines, which were shorter than OEM If you have OEM lines, you might not need to change |

Yes I tried them, and I found that they weren't much better than stock. Still gave me cronic back and wrist ache. |
