Re: bloody insurance
Have you tried The Bike Insurer?
|
Re: bloody insurance
Or GoCompare. They were cheapest when I renewed a couple of weeks ago. Even cheaper than Bike INsurer despite their guarantee :D

Re: bloody insurance
Just done mine this morning, 9 bike multi policy, unlimited mielage, pillion, ride other bikes, top bike being the superduke, TPFT legal assist a massive £142, mind you I did have to take the £100 excess, but you can't have it all I suppose.
Cheers Mark. |

Re: bloody insurance
Just insurance.
I got a quote of £66 for two bikes fully comp, garaged, protected NCD, £250 excess, no voluntary, commuting included. |
Re: bloody insurance
What Mark didn't say is that he went to OldFartbiker . com ;-)
You just need to shop around Andy. I played Carol Nash at their own game when I went to renew my multibike policy this year and add the VRap. They did c0ck it up a lot before the final figure, but at first they wanted to add the VRap on for the tune of £310 on top of the £290 for the combined SVs. I went on a couple of compare sites and went back with the lowest quote with the same benefits Carol Nash offer with my policy. Funny, it went from £310 for the year to circa 40 quid. £600 vs £340, for three bikes??? hmmmm I liked the game very much :-) |
Re: bloody insurance
aye so far ive had quotes of 600 from carol nash and theyve just phoned back with 300. only issue is i only have 2 years nc ont he bike and its kept outside which kind of bumps things up a little. and im a young 30 :(
will tr go compare have had wicked quotes say 199 quid but there equity read star and i wont touch them with somone elses bargepole! |
Re: bloody insurance
Its not necessarily true about where you keep it. Whilst I added to my policy I also rearranged where I keep them, and it made no difference whatsoever.
Also Peg was looking into renewing his insurance yesterday, for the intergalactic missile in a month or three, and was interested in finding out how much it would cost for not garaging, putting it out on the road, rather than where it is etc etc. His insurance went up ten fold when he moved up here last year so thought it worth it to do his homework well in advance this time. He got one with the same insurance company for parked on the road(not that it will be) and it came through with circa £140 for all the same benefits. Mind you he is probably insured with the same one as Mark OldFartBiker . com !! To be perfectly honest, 300 quid for two years no claims ain't all that bad. It took me four years to start seeing benefits with lower premiums, and now its over five, it seems rather reasonable for me to pay what I do. |

as Lou so eloquently put it, 7 year no claims, old fart, and of course (if they are watching) slow.....:) , although on the down side, SE post code so full knockings for London.....:(, just think up there I'd probably get money sent to me......;) Cheers Mark. |
