K8 with 8500 miles for £3300 - good price?

Hello all,

I'm due to take my DAS in october and need a bit of help regarding my first big bike.

Iv been offered a k8 with 8500 miles for £3300 at a dealer, is this a reasonable price to pay. Also being 6'4" is a sv650 going to be too small for me. Unfortunately I work away in the highlands so no chance of having a seat on one anytime soon.

Any advice would be grand :D

Personally mate i think the sv will be too small for you, i felt it too small for me a little bit and im 3 inches less tall.

I think that price sounds about right from a dealer, always haggle though.

I'm 6' 4" or thereabouts and don't have an issue with it feeling small or being uncomfortable, although everyone is different and quite a few people have been known to moan about it being too small for them at above 6'.

Early twenties. I was just adding another side to the bike size dilemma as it's not always uncomfortable for all of us half-giants! :)

Yeah its probably fine for you, albiet a bit more legroom would help them though, dropped pegs maybe.

There is a few on here who have used the buell pegs, not done it myself so cant comment how hard they are to fit.

I know a couple of people similar in stature to yourself who've found the SV perfectly acceptable. However comfort is such a personal issue that there really aren't any definitive answers about whether it will fit you or not.
Despite the fact that you're some distance from the bike in question, I can't help but strongly recommend you make an effort to find one and have sit on it at the very least.
