0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
"Hello, hello... is that my bank manager? - I'll be in for a loan shortly!!"
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR900RR...UK_Motorcycles Dammit I'd have that in a flash if I had the funds! |
Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
Intrigued that it has just been registered and needs a MOT
I was led to believe that MOT certification is 3 years after first registration so it can't be its first registration if it has a current MOT. I may be wrong on this and no doubt corrected if I am but I would want to know the full history of where and why the bike has been in storage????? According to the advert it has been registered to somebody so it makes it second hand not new. The bike would have to be unregistered and you the first owner for you to insure it as a new bike otherwise you will have difficulty insuring it for its value |
Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
Why would you have it?
I'd say it's only worth about 5 grand private. 954's go for 3-3.5k at the moment, just because it's got 0 miles, doesnt make it worth 7k! :P |
Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
That is true DT about it being three years after registration for the mot, something not right there me thinks.

Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
It's been registered on an age related plate, so will display an "03" reg
The first MOT for a bike registered under an age related plate is three years after the manufacturer's proof of age manufacture date If the bike is >3yrs old at the time of registration an MOT cert must be submitted along with the V55 application I know because my 560SMR was registered on a 56 plate and the first MOT was due three years after the manufacture date, not the registration date, if I'd not got an age related plate the first MOT would have been due three years from the date of registration Simples... |
Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
I like it, but I wouldn't pay 7k for it.

Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
There was a VRap with no miles and an 03 plate or something a month back on ebay, pre registered.
They were asking practically near enough the price of what they were when they came out, circa 8k, I wouldn;t have paid that for one, nor would I pay the price for this Blade. 0 miles or not. |
Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
Or a 52 reg 0 miles 929 Blade for nearly £8k :o

Re: 0 Miles '954 Blade on eBay
Well, i bought a brand new golf a few years back from a car supermarket, the car was manufactured over 9 months beforehand, vw uk told me this when trying to get work done under warranty and because their warranty started when it was sold in germany not here even though it was not used on the road.
But the MOT due date was 3 years after registration not manufacture date. |
