Is a K3 rectifier suitable to use on my 2000 curvy SV?

Hi all,
apologies to admin if someone else has asked this, my search couldnt find it, and I dont have the time to look through all 300 odd posts. The wiring in the attachment to the rectifier is bodged very badly by a previous owner and I need to find a replacement as the battery is now not charging. On eBay theres one for my bike that is 60 odd quid or one for a K3 for 30. I am on an extremely tight budget and so if I could buy the K3 that would be great, alternativley if anyone has a rectifier for my bike theyd like to part with, please get in touch!!

Thank you in advance!

Yes, it may be somewhat of an over-simplification to say a regulator rectifier for a 12V system is a regulator rectifier for a 12V system, but one from a K3 will suit your bike just fine. The specific connectors may be different but it's perfectly capable of being fitted to your bike.
However if it's simply the wiring on your present unit that is damaged just fix that.
