Falcon Universal Fairing - Wiring Query

Hi Guys and Gals,

First time post here, so go easy on me!! Hopefully one/some/all of you can help me out.

After an unfortunate incident with the sidestand failing, I recently decided to streetfighter my 1999 SV650S. I've removed the old headlight, which had 2 headlights wired for both dip and main beam.

The replacement unit is a Falcon Universal Fairing/Headlamp Unit (4th product down on the following link)

http://www.ukbikeparts.net/acatalog/Fairings.html

The Falcon unit looks as though it's a single lamp for dipped on the left, and the right hand lamp for main beam. Both lamps have 2 wires (black and white) connected, whereas the factory headlight has 2 sets of 3 wires (one of which I'm assuming is the earth wire) one for each light.

Has anyone fitted this unit to their bike, and if so, how did you go about the wiring? Any help/advice would be much appreciated, folks!!

That unit says it has H3 bulb/s - it doesn't specify whether one or both are, but as you have stated each has two wires that would seem to confirm a single filament connection in each lamp.
Anyway H3 are single filament bulbs, so if both are then you will need to wire one as a high beam as one as low as you say, in which case you will need to connect a neutral, (what you refer to as 'earth'), to each and the yellow wire to the lamp you use as high beam and the white wire to the lamp you use as low beam.

Thanks Sid, I'll give it a look over at the weekend and let you know if I succeed.
