My racing coming to an end

Right, every year I mull this one over. This time I've reached a decision, my racing comes to an end this year at Oulton Park in a few weeks.

I've been racing bikes for just over 10 years now, loved it. But its starting to feel a little routine and almost getting in the way. Deffo time to call it a day.

So, trackdays 2011 here I come :-), Yay.

It's a hard decision to come by, well done for making it, sounds like the right reasons.

I'm racing at Oulton that day bud. Besides, just completed a 2 day race meet at Anglesey over the weekend.

2011 though, thats a blank canvas. There are tracks I've never ridden that I'll be looking to visit.

nah, thats not like me. Its taken me a while to decide, but once I've decided then thats it.

I'm not really sorry about it personally, I've raced for years now and enjoyed it loads but its time to call it a day. I dont want to go on doing this forever, its expensive and there are loads of other things I want to do so this offers me a chance to do it.

I'll still be riding on track, just not commiting to a race season. Will likely concentrate on track days, might do the odd race if it takes my fancy but I wont be looking for championship points or anything. Look likely to finish 2nd in our club championship this year so a decent position to bow out.

Flymo, is it you who just gave your bike a very sexy new lick of paint? Poor bike, new clothes but no job!

I've always painted my own race bodywork yeah. It will still be seeing plenty of track time, just more to my own timetable rather than dictated by a race season.

Well, when you have a few in mind, let me know...I have a trailer now so not totally reliant on you being my back up! lol
