sv1000sz fluctuating power

I've been noticing for a while a power fluctuation in 5th or 6th at 70/80ish mhp, its feels a bit like an old 2stroke about to heat seize and then releases on and off, its very gentle and random but very annoying.
Any ideas what the cause could be?

Can't remember what the revs are in 6th at 70/80 on a sv1000 - is it about 3-3500rpm?

If so, I would start with throttle bodies - may need synching...

I had this on my SZ after adjusting the TPS to the guide on here. I put it back to where it was and problem went away again. It can sometime feel a little hesitant at 5000 to 5200. May be worth chatting to svracer and arranging to have the ECU re-mapped including TPS setting. They use something better than the Yoshi box and have loads of experience. Only wish I was closer to them to do the same.

How do you like the bike ? They are a gem. Too much character for many but I love it.

If the sv1000 is mapped anything like the DL1000 i just got rid of then i got rid of the dreaded chudder by getting the throttle bodies balanced and the richening the idle circuit with a yoshi box by about 1% this made it absolutely spot on and removed the lumpiness.

It is the paint scheme, causes the bike to hesitate because it thinks it's a Gixxer! Lol

as is said above, it is either TPS or maybe you got an air filter that is too dirty/too restrictive as cruising at 70/80mph (4,500rpm) the engine needs quite a bit of air, but, is not pulling as hard as when hard on the gas.

fearing that ask on "the portal" too
