675 fairing users heads up!
I had a little "moment" at the weekend when Callum highsided into me and I had to stop pretty sharpish. Turned out not sharpish enough and it caused me to slide up the tank.
I'd *seriously* advise 675 fairing users to take off the two sharp points on each side of the fairing . These are sharp and strong enough to go through your leathers in the event of an off. I have a very nice bruise on the inside of my left knee from the leathers grabbing the point and digging in. Another 5 mph and it would have gone through! http://www.superbikebodywork.co.uk/Triumph675FL.jpg Be safe, cut 'em off!! C |

Hi Berlin,
I dont know how you have the fairings attached but on mine I'd have to be sat on the tank to catch then and they are very close to the frame on mine. In fact looking at your picture and mine the fairings seem to be subtley different. |

Hi Harry, run into the back of someone and its very easy to be sat on the tank :)and we all know how often you have close shaves on the track.
Mine was mounted about 2" away from the frame and luckily had already lost its integrity from being crashed and cracked. If it'd been solid it would have been worse. No pointy edges required on a race bike. C |
