Storage on an Abba stand.

With all the posts about winter storage etc, what are peoples thoughts about storing the bike on an abba stand?

Obviously lifts the bike rear clear, but will it force the front forks?

put a jack under the engine to lift the bike so the tires dont get flat sports

ps mine stayed like this for a few months, back is off the floor still (just) ohh and the front bit of wood isn't doing any thing

Mine lives on its ABBA stand, no problem. Put a block of wood under the front tyre to isolate it from the concrete, unless your garage is posh like mine and is carpeted :p

Yip, mine too lives on the abba stand. I have a carpeted area for each of my 2 bikes so dont worry about the front wheel being on the floor. I still rotate the front wheel every week or so. Im sad like that. :p

Put your bike on whatever workshop stand you have, and then look under the front cylinder head and you will see a recess just above the downpipe, if you get a piece of 2"x2" timber about 21" long and put it between there and the floor, you will find it props the front wheel up neatly.

On ABBA's own website they say there's no problem at all having a bike on their stand long term.

Simple solution if you're worried, get a stand for the front :)
