Re: The big mobile phone debate...
I keep looking
I want to talk to other people by telephone, and let them hear me, and I hear them. I know it sounds simple, but I cannot do it on the cheap and nasty nokia rubbish thing O2 have given me 3 times. They have finally acknowledged there is a fault on some, but cannot say which until it goes bluurrb instead of voice. I also need dual sim. So I can carry one phone but accept personal and work calls. Occasional mobile internet access would be useful. Texts don't want/need. Personal use, maybe 10 calls a month outgoing. But need to receive. Also needs to have SIP and wifi. Please recommend phone and package. |
Re: The big mobile phone debate...
Take out the Desire and add either the Galaxy S or the Desire HD, Since I hate apple then I would go for either of these, I have the Galaxy S and love it.

Re: The big mobile phone debate...
This was said to be have been shot on a Nokia N8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9ME5_ZzeKI How do you embed a link? Oh I have the desire which is okay the internet works well on the phone, was able to download a word document I need to some info off it, then put into the Sat Nav so not bad. The camera seems better on my frinds Iphone 4, but I haven't really set the camera up on the phone tbh. I would like to get the HD version of it to see if its any better. I could have watched content of Iplayer as well, but I was doing that over wi-fi but I used my laptop as well its better! If use a use the web, sat nav ect it drains the battery within 1-2 hours I would say. Plus side you take the battery out and memory which is very useful. |
Re: The big mobile phone debate...
V - I love my desire. I read about issues with the battery life but to be frank, I've found it to be a load of ********. Using Sat Nav does drain it fairly quickly but contrary to what people suggest about just having wi-fi and GPS enable draining the battery, I've not thought it was too bad. I have found whilst I've not been well that on stand by, receiving email and the odd text, it's last about 2 days without charge but when getting normal usage (emails, texts, a few short phone calls (or long if from GG), picture taking and short bursts of internet usage) it lasts about a day. I charge it whenever I go to bed.
It is extremely customisable (is that a word) and I started with the 7 blank homepages and added all my own widgets and stuff. I love the interface, its so easy to use and to be honest I think it is a million times better than the Blackberry I had before. Would fully recommend the Desire. |
Re: The big mobile phone debate...
