Well my bike was 10 years old yesterday...

Yup, i bought Doris th Sv brand new on December 2nd 2000. She covered a tad under 70000 miles and in that time shes had I bought it for the princley sum of £4256, including a Laserline alarm/imob.

16 rear tyres
6 front tyres
16 oil filters
5 sets of spark plugs
4 Air filters (Exc the renegade kit)
4 chain and sprocket kits
5 crashes
1 re-spray
3 ehxaust systems
A renegade air kit
1 set of carbs
4 reg recs
4 batteries
1 valve clearnce check
1 generator
4 screens
2 changes of fork oil
3 rear shocks
1 clutch
7 MOT's
1 set Head bearings
26 dyno runs!
and most importantly lots of fun

Well thats all i can find reciepts for

To this day its still a bike that makes me smile and even laugh sometimes. Yes there are better bikes out there that look better, go faster etc, but for a commuting machine inot london, i still think that the Mk1 SV is the best bike at it. Ok shes a little tatty round the edges, and shes burning a little oil but shes great.
