Cold idling problem.
Hi..
Just recently with this cold spell upon us i have noticed a problem with my trusty steed :( When i start the bike up, i usually leave it run for about 10 mins to warm up etc - The choke cable is seized in the off? position - which is all fine when starting it. It normally picks up to idle around 1200 - 1500 rpm & The problem comes when i stop @ a set of lights after a few miles of riding, the bike idle`s lumpy and then stalls. After a few "clicks" on the starter button it fires up and then is fine for the rest of the journey. I have a feeling that it is being flooded? Any suggestions? if i get the chke cable sorted would this cure it? Thanks... Darren |
Re: Advice
Do a search for "choke plungers".Loads of info on this there.
I assume it is a curvy 650 you are talking about. Then do a search for "warm up or ride off"and have a read of that. |
Re: Advice

Cheers. |
Re: Advice
Sounds more like carb icing.
Don't 'warm it up' before you ride it. Start it and ride it gently until it's hot. |
