Curvy rear brake pedal removal
 

How long will it take roughly to remove and fit a another,
I'm at work and thinking about doing it after work in the warehouse,
Is there anything I should watch out for and is there any special tools needed or is it just a few nuts and bolts.

Can anyone give me some quick step by step instructions please :)

ant with all the spannering youve been doing lately its a 5 min job,
a vice is helpfull here as 5/1 the bolts never been moved since intital assembly,
take spring off at rear of hanger ,
unbolt hanger,
put peg in vice (not the triangle they break for fun),
undo peg bolt remove and replace lever with new one,
reasemble and tighten peg bolt (make sure peg does not spin as theres tabs to stop this and hold it in the correct position) ,
reattach spring (easier to do it now)
then replace hanger bolts to frame
job jobbed

Dave, I haven't been doing any spannering hahaha, YC does most of my work, iv not even got round to an oil change yet. the most iv done is remove the riders seat ! to change a fuse.
sounds like i would probably feck it up. i dont have a vice.

you dont need a vice it would have just made it easier cos the bolts will be stiff use the dreaded wd40 or proper penitation spray first, it is very simple its removing 3 bolts and unhooking a spring relax you find it easy
and worst case sinario if you cant remove the peg bolt (due to it being stuck as feck) you just reattach the rest and nothings effected, its a no lose

you'll find it is in the same difficultly range as changing the fuse, just a bit more elbow grease required :)

Not hard.

You can take the rearset off, put it on the deck and stand on the peg, then use a hex socket + breakerbar (easiest way) or a longish allan key and use your weight to loosen the peg bolt.

Remember to grease and locktight.

You need 8mm allen socket, that is about only special thing you need, they tend to be tight.

The highlighted bit is important. Don't go and be f_ecking using one of them chinese cheese allen keys :-P .

You mostly only gte one chance at them before it's "oh buggeroo, this don't look good" lol

As I've said before, clean the hHex recess thoroughly(use a pick, small screw driver if need be), stick the allen socket in and tap it lightly to make sure it's right in. You want to make sure the allen socket stays square to bolt as you undo it.

Everyone should have a manual impact driver ;) .

Once again, I might sound like I'm being OTT but most problems come from using unsuitable tools and/or inadequate preparation or just plain 'not being arsed' . I've experienced my fair share....mostly when I've been lazy lol.
