Declaring Mods to insurance.

Has anyone got any experience of declaring mods with Carole Nash Insurance?

Re: Declaring Mods

Got a quote with them in November.
Declare everything, Susp and touring gear too.

Declaring the changes to mine didn't affect the quote TBH.

Mine was Zorst and uprated front end and ZX10 rear shock.

If yours is the Yoshi it'll be interesting as gives a BHP increase

Mine was the full exhaust and the hagon rear shock. I wouldn't declare new front springs or stuff that's not immediately visible. I told them negligible performance increase from the exhaust.

Re: Declaring Mods

Slightly off topic but I didnt declare any of my mods to my insurers, and when some bint knocked me off last year they sent it to 4th Dimension their repairers of choice to sort out.

The guy leading the repairs rang me 3 times asking about various bits of the bike, it came back with new motografix number boards front and back, a new R&G can protector over my Yoshi race can and the guy even said on the phone if theyd managed to get more money out of her i'd be getting a new seat cowl (the tiniest of scratches was on it)

I love my insurers \\:D/

I'm insured with CN. I declared all the mods I had on the SV. Didn't make a difference to the quote and that included declaring a race use only exhaust.

Yep- CN are fine. The only question they asked, apart from is the can road legal, is whether the mods added more than 5% to the power.

i declared every thing, and they wouldn't touch me could be because of age

aviva insured me with all the mods INC non standard parts cover and the whole cost of the bike price so i get he market value of the bike and 50% of the price of the extras
