guess he can stop counting Harriers

Rip Fella, you made reporting of that scrap informative

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12037973

For those too young to know, Brian made one of those statements that everyone remembered, "I counted them off and I counted them back" as a way round the MOD censorship to say no losses.

A first class international journalist working an environment over run by sewer rats.

I fall into the too young to know :(

Not having a sea based attack capability is what would have cost us the Falklands if the government had their way back then.

Props to those who tell it how it is

Only 61, very sad. A great reporter with a distinctive and engaging voice.

RIP Brian, and thank you.

I seem to remember him being in Berlin, when the wall came down?

A pretty significant event in my wife's families time line

He'll be missed

Too young to remember any of his famous reports. But he's apart of some of the major news stories of the 20th century

RIP
