Closed my business

After 3 years the www.ultimatebags.co.uk site is closed.

I tried to make it a viable business but could not compete with the ridiculous price wars from the likes of Amazon and from other people who did not know how to calculate profit.

I do have a few things left if anyone is interested. Price varies but in general below £40 for bags that would cost above £100.

I will now take it easy, focus on doing only my dayjob and spend the rest of the time on more enjoyable things. I'm coming to terms in being "good enough" :)

Unfortunate to hear it, people at the minute tend to opt for price and with Amazon having the good service (imo) and good prices then it's obviously a lot harder for people like yourselves.

Were you getting a lot of traffic through your website?

I'm sure my Kerry will be interested in anything you have left.

Do you have contacts in general? Kerry is after the Mini Alexa and/or the Alexa in Tan from Mulberry.

The only brand I have left bags from are Jansport and some Hooch.

I was getting some traffic through the site but main income was selling through Amazon........while I could still sell at a profitable price.

It's a shame but it really affected my health and it's not worth it!

Feel for you having put a lot of work into setting a business up to have to decide that it is not worth the aggro. I am only a figurehead,as in retaining the name and being prime investor but i know how difficult it is and had some hefty kicks in the nuts myself over the years.
NOW IS A DIFFICULT TIME TO BE IN BUSINESS

Sincere commiserations Moses. I hope that you have salvaged something positive, for example the technical knowhow and the market knowledge to be able to do it again when things improve.
