First Ride of the Year
 

Hi Guys,

Happy new Year and all that.

Decided in my wisdom that Sunday would be the day to go out for the first ride of the year with my new jacket which i bought from the bike show.

Couple of things I realised.

A: Forgot how cold 0 Degrees
B: Leather Jackets breathe really well
C: Hands go numb after about 20 minutes

Even still felt really good to be back on the bike after the horrible snow we had.

Anyone else been out to kick start (Pardon the Pun) the Biking Year??

First ride of 2011 for me today, the commute to work though so nothing special.

Yesterday! Only ended up doing about 30 miles because my hands were sooooooo cold! 20 minutes after I returned home it started snowing!

I've been ill for ages, 1st ride was yesterday from home to Box hill. Bumped into (almost) a few other random bikers on the way. I was so happy to be out, but lost sensation in head, fingers, knees and toes, knees and toes

Hope someone organises a ride out soon. Miss it lots

I had that issue with my hands but me n my mate went out for about 2 hours. Forgot my Winter Inners aswell which didn't help (DOH).

Was just good to get back on the bike.

never been on a ride out. would be ace though.

My first ride was coming back from a friends on New Year's Day, after sitting around watching TV for ages to let the alcohol wear off of course. Was actually quite a pleasant ride, if it was dry on the ground I would have rode a bit faster but where it was wet and dark when i left i didnt want to push it in case. Still damn cold though.
