SV sub frame heights

I was just having a look at a mates SV1K and his sub frame is noticeably lower than mine. So low that his numberplate looks like it may interface with the rear tyre at some time in the future if he eats any more pies.

His is an '06, mine a '03... Is that the last year of the elevated rear end?
Are all other years doomed to be tail draggers?
Can you fit the lofty perch from the elevated 2003 bike to vertically disadvantaged newer bikes?

k3 thou and 650 had different rear ends than all years after (higher) yes you can swap them over, rear subframe and plastics iirc

tank may have to be changed as well as they are different from k4 on

So it is true, the lofty heights of the k3 will never be reached again... Truly the end of an era.

You short people have ruined everything, go buy a cruiser you ****s!

K3 SV1000S, SV650 and SV650S have the higher rear end, The K3 SV1000 and all later bikes both 1000 and 650 have the lower rear end.
