I'd say go for it, they're probably from the same source anyway...and if you are just running in what harm can it do

I reckon you should be fine. It wouldn't worry me on my bike!

Some folk even go so far as to say you should deliberately put in lower quality lubrication during run in to ensure moving parts bed in together properly etc.

is it Halfraud motorcycle oil?

Depends upon the levels your thinking, but for the distance your planning it should be ok.
How much halfrauds and castrol you got?

Re: mixing oil's

yeh motorcycle oil

got about 5, 1/2 frauds oil and about 1l castroll sv take 2.7l ? so might get away with just frauds oil ps the 500 oil change will be with a new filter as well

Re: mixing oil's

I keep the castol for top-ups

an oil change is 2.5l rebuild 2.8l

Do Halfords do their own motorbike oil? :-S

I always use Castrol Fully Synthetic. £33.99 for 4L Its not too bad...
