Curvy - which battery?

Quick question about a battery here, before I buy a new one :) . . I have a curvy 02 SV and I seem to see that I need a YTX12A-BS but I can't find this anywhere, but then I also saw that the YTX12-BS should also fit my bike . . Is this correct?

Thanks,
Ant.!

This is what you need, bought one last week, cheapest price I could find and next day delivery as well.

Unfortunately I'm in the Netherlands so it's easier to buy one here ;0) (should have mentioned that) But I can only seem to find the YTX12-BS here :S.

You can use the YTX12-BS, i do. You just have to take the tray thing above the battery out, i have, its of no use anyway, id rather have the bigger battery.

Good to know :) I've decided to go for the YTZ14S, which I saw from another thread is usable and the extra power will come in handy over the colder winter months. Only problems is it's bloody expensive here :(

In the UK, I've found Honda dealers do the YTZ range at prices more or less as good as anywhere. They fit Yuasa YTZ batteries (with a Honda wing logo usually) to new bikes. My last YTZ14-S was about £65 IIRC. Definitely recommended.

I replaced my curvey battery with a Honda logo'd YTZ14-S last year. I didn't even have to get rid of the document tray, I just peeled the foam of it and replaced that with a thin piece (actually a piece of mouse mat + double sided tape!). The Honda part number is 31500-MCR-D02.

Yep- I've got a YTZ14 (well- Varta actually list it as a YTT14). It's done me a treat over winter so far with some serious starting efforts in the sub zeros and through electrickle trouble. Starts very happily with the lights on too, which the 12 didn't do so well.

Kind of thinking I wasted the cash on the Halfords power pack- but you can never be too careful!! :D
