i am ready for the dissapproving head shakes. Coolant low.
right, looking next to the seat through the frame, i noticed a plastic container with green coloured stuff in it, guessing coolant......its lower than the L sign on the side...by about an inch :???:
right, do i open the radiator cap and top up there or do i have to find the top of this plastic container?? as i said, ready for the head shakes. :pale: |

watch it! i think there is a small grub screw on the cap somewhere that stops you taking the cap off.

Only on naked bikes IIRC, it's an anti-tamper thing I believe.

Did you look at it when the bike was cold or just ridden. If it was just ridden, there won't be much there so be careful or you may over fill it, and your bike will have a little wee out of the breather :P

If there is fluid in there, it's unlikely the rad needs topping up. I would have thought it was the expansion tank that needs topping up? |

first, tom #-o
second fill thru expantion tank for ease, you can top up rad and it will work into the system but it putting it under extra pressure which may cause issues (highly unlikely) but for an extra 5 secs why mess about bri love the qoute of the basics- rtfm, rtfq and isa for the unaware -read the flipping manuel, read the "full" question and if stuck ask |
