What rate spring is it? That may make a difference as to which weight oil you want. Brand probably won't be affected though...

sorry to be thick, im not sure what rate the spring is, it is maxtons direct replacement for the standard sv item, however, the spring is shorter and the spacer is longer , the spring wire looks to be the same dia. ans the spring has a constant coil patters over its lenth , the same as the suzuki item.........rob

If you want the answer that lines up with the choice of spring & shock, phone Maxton, and ask for their recommendation. I'd be very supprised if your fork springs were not a bit stiffer than the OE units fitted by suzuki.

For track riding I suspect 10w will be a little soft, and you might be better off with something more viscous. However, I don't race so wouldn't want to muddy the waters with my suggestions :)

Re: what fork oil

the problem often when putting a thicker oil in , is it actually takes away from the springs damping/rebound, but again as jambo says ask an expert, you'll never get a consistent answer on here !
:O)
