K3 Engine fix - water pump stuck - help!

Ok so ive removed, the gearshift system, the rear chain, & that nasty left hand threaded bolt! - ive still to remove the rotor fully so i am sourcing a 32mm open ended spanner! - there is one issue...

Do i have to remove the water pump & the oil pipe stopper to split the case?

These screws are a nightmare to remove (chances are there will be more to remove) as they have been put in with thread lock and as you can see there is a danger i will fook the head due to the shoddy metal that has been used! - any tips on the right type of drivers to use? i tried to use a round shaft screwdriver about 6' long but it slipped.

An impact driver with a correctly sized sized bit is the right tool to use on very tight Philips/Pozi head screws.

Water pump is on cover and nothing to do with cases. Oil pump does not have to be removed to split cases. When you do take those 3 screws replace them with allen's.
As mentioned impact and right tip (#3) is best to remove them.

Halfords do a nice shinny one. Have you sourced a bolt for the rotor removal yet? Oh and a nice big breaker bar...

As for those bolts I echo the impact driver suggestions.

what about the oil pipe stopper? - its held on with the same type of screw, yeah rubbish bolts eh? - i thought straight away about replacing them with allen headed ones. (whatever ever size, pitch etc' they are)

I think the only way im going to get the oil pump removed is to take whats left of the engine to a workshop and bung the owner a tenner to do the job! - theres no point spending a fortune on an impact driver for such a small job. (i suspect the best impact driver to use is an electric or air one)

What do you think?

Got 2 of those bolts mate, they were sold in pairs off ebay (around 7 quid), and at this moment i am ordering a 32mm spanner & a breaker bar!

I'm gathering quite a nice specialised set!

I don't know what you call oil pipe stopper??
Yea, that hand impact is what you need, you can use that tool for all kind things. There is another screw above near top that holds oil pipe that lubes transmission, you will need it for that one. Is that what you call stopper?

A normal impact screwdriver that you hit with a hammer is perfectly adequate e.g. like this Avoid the really cheap ones, they come with bits made from cheese.
