Laying a bike down on the floor?

if a bike was all stripped down of fairings, tank, battery and lights, and oil drained, would it be ok to lay the bike over on its side for a couple of days while front and rear suspension was removed? i can understand that leaving oil in the bike could cause oil to go places it shouldnt, but how about when empty?
yes i know its not the ideal thing to do and im sure most of you would never dream of such things, but its an option i am considering. bike would be laid on tyres and quilt covers

Davepreston lays bikes down all the time.
Usually while all the fairings and himself are still attached ;)

Just watch for brake fluid going where you don't want it.
