BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
Hello!
I picked up my new project today, a BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport. The intention is to strip it down and rebuild it into a road going condition. It was given to me by my dads friend who isn't too sure of its exact model so I believe it to be a Bantam 175 Bushman Sport, but if anyone knows their BSA's I'd be glad if you could shine some light! http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...06120340-1.jpg http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...06120328-1.jpg Watch this space! Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
I'll watch this with interest as I found out recently my dad had a BSA bantam 125 before I was born, he died in 1978 so I had no idea.
No one I know of has any interest in bikes :( I will have to get one in later life no doubt :) |
Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
How many gears has it got?Only the last series had four, all the others were three speed.I think the D14 was the last version.

Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
This is my first time I've done anything like this so it may be a bit slow!!! I can't wait to get started on it, it's chucked it down pretty much all day since I picked it up!

Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
Engine and frame numbers will give away loads, what's the engine number prefix?
|
Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
The engine number is D10A 5332. I can't find the frame number as I've only had chance to have a quick look.

Re: BSA Bantam 175 Bushman Sport
I think I had one or two of them.D10 will be a three speed one.Very easy to work on as they are such a basic design. You will need an impact driver to get it apart though.
