HMV Voucher To Spend
I have a £25 HMV Gift Voucher (which can also be used in Waterstones) given to me at Christmas. Trouble is I've no idea what to spend it on. I would just save it until I can think of something worth while but as HMV are going to be going out of business shortly I have decided to spend it now while I still can (we all remember what happened to Zavvi).
So what to spend it on? Now this is the hard part... I don't really listen to much music at the moment and besides can't think of anything I want that I haven't got. I don't have time to watch any films and again can't think of anything that I haven't seen thats worth watching, and I don't play computer games. Finally I consider myself illiterate (just read my posts) so I don't read any novels. You can see my quandary, your suggestions please... |

Re: HMV Voucher To Spend
Why not pop into HMV and have a wander around.
I often just take a wander around as sometimes you see something and think, "oh yeah, wouldn't mind that" I have bought a few bargains in the past. Things like Blues Brothers for £3 and other classic cult type films. OK I dont watch films too often but for the price it's worth getting them and have them sitting around till you fancy a blast from the past type film. HMV do such a varied selection that I am sure they will have something in there that you might want, be it a cover for your phone to some speakers. |
Re: HMV Voucher To Spend
HMV are robbing ba**ards, just been in to buy long way down and long way round, £43 for the two, £26 on amazon :(
Also, the special edition 3 disc set is the same price as the standard, WTF? I'll order online, they can feck off !! So sir, sell the voucher, spend the money elsewhere :) |
Re: HMV Voucher To Spend
Last time I had that dilema I bought a really nice cookery book called 'Comfort Food' and on miserable rainy days like today I can make something stodgy to eat on Sunday night.
So even if you don't read novels I bet you'd find a book in Waterstones about something you are interested in. Don't forget they sell maps and atlases, mugs, games, and loads of other stuff. Or if you realy can't decide, buy some children's books and drop them off as a gift to your local kids' hospice. |
Re: HMV Voucher To Spend
I totally recommend albums by Madder Mortum, Satyricon and The Clan Destined. Perfect for when you manage to pull that uber babe Goth chic with a spike through her tongue and bone through her nose!

Re: HMV Voucher To Spend
Can you not claim the 0.001 pence value of it and put it towards something nice?
