best way to carry a camera?

I am just getting into photography and want to take my new dslr, couple of lenses and tripot on my k6 SV650s and wondered which is the best way to carry them safely, protect them from rough vibrations, bumps and rubbish weather.

Any ideas/advice is much appreciated.

Tim

Unless you have the luxury of a hard top case I'd keep it in a tank bag with some soft stuff on either side...

I used to carry mine in a tank-bag with a peli case foam insert inside. You just remove the relevent bits of foam to make a custom fit with a foam base.

Never had a problem.

In a tankbag, but the camera and lenses are in a padded lowepro camera bag. No probs so far :)

For proper cameras like yours, tankbags seem the most popular choice. It's usually the most "protected" position for soft luggage and it's easily accessible so you can take photos without getting off the bike, if you so desire.

More or less the same for me too.

lowepro bag for the camera and lenses and then stuffed into a kriega tail pack.
