Average bike age
 

How long do you keep your bikes ,or for how many miles?.
My current steed is coming up for ten years old and 45k,with no intention of changing it,but having said that it is for pleasure purposes only ,not required for commuting

Mine's 11 year old with just 22k on. (Only had 12k miles on when I bought it 18 months back). I think I'll be keeping it for at least another 5 years. Then with far more road miles under my belt I may get something else. Maybe a litre sports bike, who knows!

Mine is 10 years old 11k on it.

Mines a keeper TBH it'll be kept when a get another bike

Kept the curvy for almost a year did about 8k I guess, pointy I've had about 18months - done about 10k on it and although it needs to be sold I can't bring myself to do it as it's setup great. previous bikes I'd had for a year at a time then changed at insurance renewal - pointy bucked the trend

My SV is now 1 year 4 months old, 13k on the clock, but it's been sat for 5 months now.
Will probably keep until it dies - even if I get a second bike.

Had her 14 months so far, done 10k miles on her in that time, but, she is now 7 and done 42k miles. Still going strong :-)

Kept my last bike for 5 years and 23500 miles. Prob keep the Daytona for the same, the XT I'll keep indefinitely, when I'm ready to replace it here with dedicated off-road and adventure bikes, I'll export it to France or Portugal and keep it for playing off road over there.

Well my sv is now 10yrs old, owned by me for about 3 years now but was bought new by kitkat and I shall be keeping it forever even if I get another bike which isn't likely any time soon. Plus there's not much else aout there that I fancy owning/riding

Edit: it's now on about 35k miles

Dave is 11, with 36k, I've had him four years, he came with 26k on the clock.
Suzy is ten, shes been in the family for all her life, with aprox 27k on her.
The Raptor is 8 years old, with aprox 4k on it. I hope it stays in the family as long as Suzy.
No intention on selling Suzy or Kitty, but Dave was only supposed to stay 6 months, hes come to his natural end with me, if I had my way he'd stay but I only have time for two bikes at once :(

My SV is 7 and I've had it 18 months and done just shy of 20k miles in that time for a total of 23.5k. Off it goes to the dealer next week.
