Doesn't sound right after oil change?

ok a changed the oil a couple of weeks ago. from 4k old 15w50 putoline to fuchs stuff. I also replaced the filter with a KN one.

Since then first thing in the morning when its turning over it sounds like it wurring, almost turbine like when turning it over. Its never done this before Im wondering if its because the oil is thicker or something as im not sure really? it goes once warm.

Any thoughts?

The sound you can hear is probably sobbing not whirring cos you've replaced her with a new woman ;-)

Its ok they live in harmony, our lass already refers to her as "the other woman"

lmao, my woman says the same thing!

I kindly pointed out that she'd much rather me have an affir with a bike than another woman ;)

had this conversation this morning, was told that i was a bike pervert. she said it could get embarassing saying to her friends that her boyfriend pervs on bikes and not women.

to which i replied "you can have some news, either your boyfriend has just had sex with another woman...OORRRR your boyfriend has just been on a test ride of a new bike"

she didnt see my point.....

They do not think the same as us, different species and all that.

Out of interest why aren't you using 10W40?

Re: Doesn't sound right after oil change?

Because its a triumph and its filled with 15w50 from the factory. It also sounds a lot quieter than when its got 10w40 in it. Which is good as its a bit of a noisy engine comparitivly
