Quite possibly! I have friends I can stay with in Ashbourne, and I need to vacate on Saturday night as my wife is having a girly night in, so this racing might be the perfect plan. My son will love it.

Never been before. What's the drill? Where do you go? I see it's £11 entry, is that just for the Sunday? Is there any cost for the Saturday Test Day? I see it's a road race, what's the course?

It's a track, not massively long in size, but quite quick and with little run off in places, definitely not your Brands, Oulton equivalent.

It's just turn up on day, pay at gate and park your bike and watch :D

I might go myself if it's nice next weekend now I know it's on.

ya its a tiny triangle shape track thats about 1 - 1.5 miles round, no frills track where amatures start their racing :) its good to see how it all starts with guys and gals running race bikes on a shoestring.

the saturday is usually free and race day is £11 as you say :)

altho ;)

a public footpath runs straight through the darley curcit so if you park at the back
you can walk in for free :) ssshhhhhh i aint told you that :)

bit difficult with a car full of camping gear tho :)

I have been a few times, some good racing and the go-karts are really good to watch.

Can also have a good walk around the paddock area and all teams and mechanics are happy to talk to you :D

I'm thinking of having a look at the test day on saturday as I can't make it up sunday and it looks like a nice day for a ride tomorrow. What are the test days like? Do you get many riders testing on the saturday or is it just a couple of bikes now and again.

edit... just found this, so looks like they'll be a few of last years champions on the test day.

wow what a good weekend :) got the usual Stella headache and the vodka tongue, last nights camping wasnt half as bad as the same time last year.
racing well what can i say :) good as usual, 7 or 8 sv's out making their loverly noises again, a few won races in their class.
saw quite a few accidents too looked like cold tyre syndrome :(
we'll try and do all the darleys this season altho the next one is right ontop of Oulton sbk.
