Been fitting ....
...a new Nitron rear shock I purchased a couple of months ago off E-bay. Hopefully will be a big improvement over oem one.
Whilst I was swapping shocks I fitted the oem dogbones back on too, previous owner had fitted longer ones to drop the height of the bike. All replaced ok, but one thing struck me as odd as I stood back having a fag admiring my handywork. Mr Suzuki no doubt as worked out all the weight balances etc, but when looking at the bike without the rear wheel in it looks weird. The shock/linkages et al. are well to the left of centre on the bike, no doubt to accomodate exhaust outlet, but it still struck me as rather odd, so I took a picture. See what I mean? ; http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...s/14032011.jpg |
Re: Been fitting ....

nice job there. mind and post up your thoughts on the Nitron shock. |
Re: Been fitting ....
I must admit I didn't notice that when I removed the rear wheel on mine, maybe it's central on the curvys.

Re: Been fitting ....
If you want to think about offsets in suspension, think about single sided swingarms......

Re: Been fitting ....
I would like to upgrade the rear shock on mine and the front end but all come in time. :-)

Why would it? As someone else said, have you seen the rear suspension on an ER6? |
