Feeling stupid - wrong bulbs.

Right then, here's the funny fact of the day: i'm dumb as hell...
What happened: I wanted new headlight bulbs for my curvy. So, instead of heading out to the bike, taking the rubber bit out and having a look at what kind I should order, I googled it... and Google said H4 (or rather some blokes in a long forgotten thread somewhere...)... So I ordered myself a pair of Philips x-treme Vision.. for ~22quid. I go out to the bike and to my (bitter) surprise it's H1

So, let this be a lesson to myself: in the future, get off my own butt and go see for myself

You have the euro style lights! ;) H4 fit UK spec SVs fine and dandy.

What are the differences between the two?

Re: Feeling stupid

H4 is dual filament & has a different body all together from the H1, which is single filament

Euro style light from a curvy. Note the projector style dipped beam (I think). The projector part will be fixed focus and unable to cope with the dual filament of a H4.

EDIT: quite hard to find photos of standard lights, but here is a UK curvy head on to show the difference in the lenses..
