Re: Cagiva Raptor owners help please.

Not sure if the Raptor 1000 has the same size forks as the 650, but TBH i'd just put a GSXR front end on, the raptor forks are ok but not the greatest. Plus you cant really buy spares like seals for the brembos.

I've done seals on them and can safely say buy GSXR parts, they're pretty dire.
The shocks are worse.

Also they have some wierd wop lock arrangement so forget being able to put the ignition anywhere let alone use steering lock!

I might have a look in the manual at the dimensions, for the 1000, and perhaps get round to sending DD a copy:oops:

PS the only similarity between the Raptor 650 and the SV650 is the engine ;)

ok Raptor 1000 at least has...forks of

TYPE inverted hydraulic telescopic fork of (funny o symbol) 43mm(1.693in)
STEERING ANGLE 32deg (LEFT AND RIGHT)
HEADTUBE 25deg
TRAIL 110mm (4.331in)
FORK TRAVEL 120mm(4.724in)

Help at all?

Re: Cagiva Raptor owners help please.

That 43mm is diameter of shiny chrome bit, top parts that fit in yokes are bigger than that
