Indicators fitting -connectors?
Hi everyone, quick question.
I've had some mini indicators for a while now, taken from a previous bike. The connections on them are the normal 2 spade setup. Anyone know how I can connect this to the standard weird 3-way connection on a K6 SV650S Thanks. |

What about these adapters,

Re: Indicators fitting
i just left the connectors on the leads at both ends and used scotch lock connectors to join the wires together. My indicators work fine, and i have the option to put the originals back on using the original connectors.

Re: Indicators fitting
I left the 3 way connectors on the loom end, chopped the connector off the original indicators and attached it to the new indicators with bullet connectors. Then the new indicators just plug straight in, means youll have to go to a bit more effort to refit the originals, but all youd need to do is reattach the connector with some bullets... But then I have no interest in going back to the originals anyway!

Re: Indicators fitting
Thanks everyone for you replies. I've bought the adaptors from ebay, as I didn't fancy chopping any wires.
Hopefully I shouldn't have any problems fitting them. Cheers, Alex. |
Re: Indicators fitting -connectors?
Grrrrrr
They were delivered today. I went to the bike to fit them, only to find the connectors were in the wrong place. On the picture above, the connections should be on the bottom and on the right. I think I'll test my skill with wires and try to correct it. |
Re: Indicators fitting -connectors?
From the pic above if you turn it round anti-clockwise they are on the bottom and the right?!

Re: Indicators fitting -connectors?
Sorted it now, it was easier than expected. The connectors just slot in and out of the plastic 3 way housing.
It wouldn't fit by turning it anti-clockwise, as the plastic bit only fits in one way. |
