Pirelli Supercorsa SC:

I am running Bridgestone BT090R front and a Supercorsa rear on the SV. These where fitted from new(not race scrubs). Just checked mileage and rear lasted for 5000miles before down to limit, which suprised me for what is a "race" tyre grips well in the wet too. I remember when Pirelli Phantoms first came out, you where lucky to get 2000 miles out of them.

Which compound is it Derek? There are various compounds in the range from road through BSB, to SC0 at the softest end. The wear rate is substantially different across the range.

well at £25 a scrub, there's no reason to buy any other tyre then :)

...Unless you ride in the wet a lot :)

Yes. I was surprised how well they have lasted. Sides are still good!

I live in England...

And considering an avon storm lasts 6000 for £100 that works out cheaper. Though to be honest even if it didn't (slightly, and can make SC's make more sense if a lot of 2 up work brings the avon life down, but what does that do to SC life...) then it is worth more money to be able to just bugger off on a 300 mile ride without worrying if you've got enough tyre to make it round.

That is if I can ever afford the petrol to do 300 miles for the hell of it again...
