650 runs rough when hot

I have a 2004 SV650 which has behaved well till recently. Now it starts well and runs well when cold but when hot it starts to miss and splutter wont tickover - I thought it maybe an ignition advance problem but would like to heatr of any suggestions from more learned friends

pop the tank off and have a look at the air filter...could be clogged up. Other things to think about is last service eg plugs.

If you can rule these out then it may help.
