Bandit 600 forks question

A friends 1995 bandit is chewing fork seals and we know the stantions are FUBAR, will forks from a K1 bandit be a straight swap or are there variations with different build years?

If there are variations then which years will fit?

Not too clued up on bandits yet, prefer riding my twin

Edit
Question answered... NO! in 2000 they changed from a cable on the front wheel to a electronic speedo drive from the front sprocket, and changed the claipers... there must be a better option than £200 for a pair of aftermarket stansions + the other bits to fit them.

Re: Bandit 600 forks question

If they're straight, get them hard chromed.

Good morning all.

K model Bandits have different calipers to the early (proper) Bandit. Although I think they're similar dimensionally.
Your best bet would be to have them Hard Chromed, or get replacement stanchions. All Bike Engineering in Greenwich do excellent Hard Chromed replacement stanchions.

Cheers.
