Email to my Triumph Dealer

Please can you quote me for a replacement magnet for a speed sensor for a Daytona 955i 2006? If the magnet is not available as a separate part, please can you quote me for a whole new speed sensor? Thanks

Good Afternoon.

The speed sensor is only aviliable as assembly £124.60 inc vat.

Kind Regards

Thanks,

But Jesus! £124 quid?

"Hello Mr Bloor, I wonder if you can help me, I need a new bit of plastic with a magnet inside and a cable attached"

"Certainly Sir, we can supply one of those for you, but first Sir, we know you have no other choice, so we just need you to bend over and drop your trousers!"

What choice do I have if Triumph won't supply me with the magnet! Please can you order one in for me?

Cheers

You could try Sprint manufacturing http://www.triumphparts.gbr.cc/

Shine a light is that how much they are?
Mine has broken up as well, thought they would be about £50. Think I'll be guessing my speed for a while

Also keep an eye on ebay, a lot of triumph parts go cheaply on there, although you might get more than you want. It's probably cheaper to buy a whole wheel assembly on there than the part directly from Triumph.

1/2 of my speed triple is running on parts from ebay!

Why, do you think the magnet is available separately?

Is it worth trying a different dealer without the 'if magnet not available how much is full part' line to see what they say? Could it be a case of dealer trying it on?
