Re: Brake pads
found a nice review
" I'm not sure if it was you who's post I just responded to on another forum, but let me reiterate here. These pads are terrible. No stopping power. Stock pads are far, far better. I would not use them even if they were free, and I am a cheap *******. I bought some new Gold Fren pads off of eBay. When I got them, the first thing that I noticed was that the backing plate was only about half the thickness of the stock pads. I was leary about that straight away, but I thought I would put them in and give them a chance. I put them in and first I tried them on the street. They required a very hard squeeze to do any stopping. I ran them for a day to bed them in, but there was no improvement. Then I did a track day with them at Road America. They were really poor. I got though the day, but I had to radically adjust my braking points to make up for their ridiculous performance. I removed them after just one track day and got rid of them. These things are a very poor excuse for a brake pad. http://www.fireblades.org/forums/ima...thumbsdown.gif So, put your brake pad money somewhere else. I promise that these pads will be a big disappointment. " guess ill get ebc then :( |
